Dear SPUSD Family,
Today, the Newsom Administration announced the state’s requirement for masking in schools will expire on Friday, March 11, allowing students, regardless of vaccination status, to be without a face mask at school BEGINNING MONDAY, MARCH 14.
The Ventura County Department of Public Health has announced that they will align their mask protocols to match the state's. Masks will be considered recommended but not mandatory, no matter what your vaccination status is. Santa Paula Unified School District will adjust our COVID protocols to the state’s new guidelines. All other safety guidelines such as closed campuses to the public, limiting visitors, and health checks at our entrances will remain in place until further notice.
SPUSD considers the safety of our students and staff our highest priority. As always, thank you for your continued support and patience.
Respectfully,
Jeffrey Weinstein, Superintendent
